A Very British Day Out

Only Monday I was lucky enough to be offered a ticket by one of my best friends to go to the first day of Wimbledon with her. How can you pass up this opportunity!?

I have never been before, and to be honest whenever its been on TV I have never really had too much interest in it, but again like I said an opportunity not to be missed!
So off we set on Monday morning, on what was actually a pretty long train journey, but loved how when we arrived the station was kitted out like a tennis court, I appreciate detail like this, gets everyone buzzing. We got there just as it opened, and wondered over to a court to sit down and watch our first match (we only had day passes not tickets for centre court or court one), despite this the matches we watched had just as much drama and skill in them as all the others.
As well, Eugenie Bouchard, whose match we watched was so sweet to stop and allow us to have our picture taken with her as well!
It was super exciting just to think we were in the same place as people like Sharapova, Nadal, Murray and Federer, who we tried to see but was only told that we were standing outside the wrong exit...I still think they were telling us porkies though!
And of course how could we not go to Wimbledon and not watch a men's match, the power at which they hit the balls at is actually so fast, one poor ball boy and lines man got hit from a serve....you could just see them trying to smile through the pain!
I loved what the ball boys and ball girls were wearing, they were kitted out in Wimbledon Ralph Lauren, they had all the stuff to by in the stores there, shame it was so darn expensive, the polo shirts were £110 and the towel, which I was so desperate to get, was a mad £28, which I think is just far too expensive maybe next year, so determined to get this towel looking at it now on Eugenie!

On the way home we of course could not pass up the classic, Strawberry's and Cream as well as appreciating the giant Shrub shaped tennis ball, what did i tell you about detail, key! Ha
I had such a lovely day and would recommend going to anyone, its such a good day out and you get so into the tennis, even if your not a massive fan! Although it can end up costing a bit if your not careful, I'm hoping to go again next year!
Any one hitting Wimbledon this year?

THE SCHWARZKOPF LIVE LAB EVENT: LIVE XXL COLOUR

Last week i was invited to attended the Schwarzkopf Live Lab Colour XXL event ( I know, what a mouthful). It was the launch of their new and improved home colouring kit, for the bright colours, rather than the tamer ones!
(courtesy of Mason-Williams PR)

Sarah, who invited me to the event, told me there was going to be a HD Brow bar there and if i was interested in having my brows done, of course i said yes! I had only heard a little bit about HD Brows before, through a Pixiwoo video, which i will link below.
They were super nice and sent me a patch test to make sure i was not allergic to the dye. I think qualities like this make the event, and the brand stand out so much from the crowd.
So Tuesday just passed, myself and my mummy hopped on the train up to London to attend the event. When we got there we were welcomed by Sarah, who was lovely and friendly and explained all about what was going to happen and what was on offer throughout the night.

First was a talk from one of the developers of the hair colouring from Schwarzkopf headquarters in Germany, who had flown over to talk that night.

It was so refreshing to hear all the science behind the product we were all there to see, so often we are so ignorant to what we are using and how much work and research goes into these products. He explained how they test the colouring on all different hair types and how the chemicals are adapted to make the colour last for longer. It was really interesting, and made me feel like a knew a lot more not only about the brand but hair colouring itself.
I was then lucky enough to have my brows done by the HD Brow Team, Laura did mine, and she was lovely, informing me every step of the way what she was doing, if i was happy with it, how i like them done, shape, colour thickness  It was a great experience, and i have to say they are looking pretty darn good. The HD Brow team were so lovely and gave me and my mummy a goody bag with a eyeshadow/eyebrow pallet each to suit our brow shades, along with a brush and their Brow Buster Gel. I'm super looking forward to giving those products a go!
It was fun to get our pop of colour with the hair team, where i went for blue, and my mummy went for a flash of soft red! They styled the colour extensions in as well as cut and trimmed them to fit the shape our of hair as it was, it was so fun to see how actually all these colours you never thought you dare dye your hair can look so good! What do you all think of my blue Barnett?!

I had such a wonderful time at the Schwarzkopf event, and we were both lucky enough as well to be gifted with a goody-bag as well filled with hair treats including their new got2b 'Beach Mermaid Texturizing Salt Spray' and got2b 'Oli-Licious Styling Oli' which I'm really looking forward to trying when i head off on holiday soon, as well as two colours that i may give a go as well!

We ended the event in the best way you can, with a photo booth session, if something has a Photo Booth you've got my vote, they are such a fun way to remember the moment and have a laugh!
I had such a great time and the event and would 100% recommended Schwarzkopf hair colouring products they put so much time, effort and research into make the best products they can, and so they can work for everyone! give them a go, be bold!

tweet me what Schwarzkopf products you like, or would like to try!

Blue Nails

Just a quick post today, hope your all well!

I just noticed, despite them being on my own body, how much i've been loving blue recently, i've got a purple blue on my toes, and two blue shades on my nails!
On my fingers i am wearing Essie 'Mint Candy Apple' and Barry M Nail Paint in '247', I think this was limited edition for Christmas just gone though. I am not 100% sure however.

What colours have you been rocking this week?

Hairstory!

Welcome, to my Hairstory, get it, like history but with hair? I thought it was clever!
I decided to do this hair related post after reading Zoella's Blog post on her most worn hair styles which you can check out Here! I thought I would my hair through the years post!

First of all, when i was born I had jet black hair, but here where im guessing I am two, maybe, not 100% sure, its quite light, always curly that will be a theme that runs a lot through this post.
Awh, so sweet is little Ella, getting darker. Still curly.
Aged 6, (im just guessing again) longer, still dark, still very much curly!
Are me and my brother just not the cutest!
What a smile I must say, still getting longer, still very curly. I never liked my curly hair, i found it annoying hard to do anything with and due to this I tried at all cost not to brush it just because it was so painful, pulling on the tangles and the curls, this lead to me about 4 years later having all my nice long hair CHOPPED, to a bob by my Mummy, this is something I have never forgiven her for.
Skipping a good few years forward here, i think this was either year 9 or year 10, I'm going to go with year 9, maybe 10. Cant decided. As you can still see my hair is super dark, i went through a hair dying phase from around 13 years old when i had my first highlights and low lights done, i did look a little like a hot dog with mustard and ketchup, i rocked it though, to very very dark.

I also was bought for my 13th birthday, GHDS. These were like the hair God coming to me! I started to straighten my hair, as well as my confidence growing from the use of wonderful god sent product, that is GHD's.
This is my Year 11 prom, as you can see I have banished my super dark hair and have moved back to lighter ways, with blond highlights....core bad split ends there at the bottom. I've never been a big hair cut fan, takes me so long to grow it, to chop it off in under half an hour seems very unfair. I can never decided whether i like my hair light or dark, a constant hair battle.
This picture was taken beginning of year 12, at my brothers Bar-mitzvah (A Jewish celebration of a boy turning 13 years old) This is one of my favourite pictures of all time, back to brown again, and straight of course. I love the length the style just two thumbs up for this hair!
Within 2 months, we were being dyed again, Cheryl Cole red this time. (check out Cheryl's red locks Here!) Must say I am a massive Cheryl fan, music hair the lot! I super loved having this colour, but it is so hard to maintain I found that my hair started to grow out quite quickly and although i loved it, it was far too much hassle.
And shock, we are back to brown again, I think i always revert back to brown just because I cant seem to fault it and nothing goes wrong with it! Still a nice long-ish length.
This was taken at my 18th Birthday, note the hair is getting longer woowoo! I really like this colour, yes I know it is still very much brown its one of the warmer shades I have had put in. Did not stay for too long though.
Hello Caramelly blondy-ish no longer brown hair! I loved so much having my hair like this, it was good for spring summer, it was different to something I had before, however after i returned home from my holiday in France, that sun we all love to be slaves too had not done wonders to me hair, I was practically a dodgy shade of ginger, like gingerbread man ginger, was not good.

And so, we land in current day, yes 10/6/13 taken today, we are back to brown, just made life so much easier, despite really liking the idea of going light again like i the picture above!
Still nice a long which is what i love, cant see me ever cutting it short to be honest!

I would love to hear your hair stories, or any recommendations for new hair colours to try!

Fave's Of May

Hello June, and goodbye May, its been nice knowing you. I can't believe how quick time is flying by! These are the stuff I've been loving this month, enjoy!
Victoria's Secret Body Mist in 'Strawberry & Champagne' and 'Love Spell'.
'Love Spell' is my all time number one, after smelling this on a girl at work, i thought whats the need to ever buy any other fragrance again! Its so long lasting and only £11 for the amount your getting its so good.
After recently being on a BB cream hype, I found my self turning back one day to my 'NARS Sheer Glow' which, of course is always gorgeous but I've been using it more frequently and after 6 months of searching for a pump, it makes using it a lot easier!

MAC's Paintpot in 'Painterly' is just amazing, to wear by itself or as a base. There is nothing I can knock about this product, more recently I have just been using it on a daily basis it helps to brighten my eyes and make me look more awake, LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I don't really like to use my fingers for eye products so I've been applying this with a MAC 195 brush which is actually a concealer brush but i find it applies a good amount of product and distributes it well.
Brush wise, I've been enjoying use the old school classic foundation brush the pink one is actually from Primark, for about £1.50 and its one of the best I've used, its so soft and applies products well and softly. The other one is from The Body Shop.

I'm sorry if you don't like feet but, its been a good'un this month, so its here. As I have now declared it sandal season, I thought it was only fair i treated myself to a pedicure, and I enjoyed it so much and love the look of how they did my toes. I never have any trouble doing my nails, but toe nails i just cant get to look that good, so to keep them summer ready I've been going to my local nail salon, (Dream Nails, Loughton).

Slightly non-beauty related is my new Blackberry 9900 in white. I've always been a blackberry person and i don't think anything could make me sway, I've been enjoying this a lot!
#teamblackberry

And finally, after rescuing a lost dog with my friend earlier this month, I've been loving my pups, not that I don't throughout the rest of the year haha, but yes, are they not just beautiful.

tweet me your may faves, and if you've got any cute pets I would love to see
