Lip Lust's - Autumn/Winter

This is part two of my Autumn Winter Make-up Lust's. This week I am lusting over Lip products.
As we all know as the Winter draws in the weather changes and one of the worst affected things is our lips, I know for sure mine always become very cracked and dry, and then end up needing a lot of TLC.

I am always on the look out for a great all around lip balm, so any recommendations be sure to leave them in the comments section, or tweet me them!

THE BODY SHOP: LIP BUTTERS IN COCONUT

REVLON LIP BUTTER IN TUTTI FRUITI

LOREAL CARESSES

BOURJOIS 3D LIPGLOSS
(this I bought a good few years ago, so i'm not sure if it is still stocked and the name of the shade)

MAC CREME CUP

JUICY TUBE 017 FRAISE

As well as creating the best lip looks for this winter season, they also need to feel healthy. Your must for a Winter make up bag are bases and balms which are always go to's during this time of year, and some all year round as well. As previous, these are a mix of high end and high street brands with varying prices.
VASELINE, BODY SHOP LIP BUTTER IN CHERRY, BOOTS ORIGINAL LIP-SALVE, JUICY COUTURE LIP BALM & MAC PREP AND PRIME LIP.

What do you love for your lips at this time of year? I would love to hear tweet me at @ella1993, or comment in the box below for any other ideas you would like to see on here.

Lid Lust's for Autumn: High End & High Street

AUTUMN/WINTER MAKEUP MUSTS: PART ONE, LID LUSTING

As October has rolled in, and November is on the horizon its this kind of time when i find my make up must have starts to change, especially with Eye products, over the next few weeks I'm going to go through all my changes and must haves in your make up bag to rock the best Autumn/Winter looks.

Bare Minerals ID Loose Eyeshadow:

Purple is not one of the easiest colours to wear, but this is such a gorgeous shade, and you can do so much with so little, anything from a night out with a deep purple smokey eye, to just using this as liner across the lash line, its such a gorgeous shade.

Rimmel:

This kind of follows the Bare Minerals trend, its a slightly purple taupe colour, this is gorgeous just to sweep over the lid or to layer with other colours as well, and its a bargin', with a large amount to product given and so pigmented. Cant go wrong can you really?!

Gosh Eye Duo:

Another High Street hero as far as i am concerned, slightly more pricey than your Rimmel's, Collection and other well known brands, but you do get a good quality to product. Just from the picture you can see how rich the chocolate brown shade is, the white colour makes for  a lovely inner eye high light as well if you want to accent under the brow bone, they are so creamy and blend-able. Warm rich colours for Autumn!

Mac Constructivist Paint Pot:

Yes again, another rich chocolate brown shade, but its a cream shadow this time round so it did justify me buying another eyeshadow. Thats what I like to tell myself anyway! This unfortunately is not a high street brand, nor high street price, the paint pots start at £14-£15 I believe but if some are in a limited edition collection their prices may vary. That aside, this is a lovely product its another one of those sweep across the lid, bish bash bosh your ready to go, a lick of mascara and what more do you need. Its so easy to wear and can be accented with other shades, liner etc...

Mac Eyeshadows in Cork and Shroom:

Yes we are back at Mac, you cant ever go wrong really can you? and yes we are also back at browns and white highlighting colours, its a classic what can I say!
This is kind of a pricier version of the Gosh Duo, bar the brown shade here being matt and no where near as dark, this is a combo I like to wear alot, and sometime I love to load up on the mascara and lightly put Cork through the crease just at add a little something.

Topshop Eye-Duo:

My final eye lid lusting product is this duo from Topshop makeup, and i actually think their eye shadows are a dark horse in the makeup world, they are so creamy, pigmented and well priced. I have to say I have not dared to rock these two colours together, but they have been worn on separate occasions. The Golden brown is a dirty version of Mac Patina, and the Blue is beautiful in its own right. I don't know if this specific duo is still available they have colours still in store and online like them, go be bold back away from the beige and brown every now and again and try a blue, or even a rusting cranberry red if your feeling daring.

What are your Lid Lust's from Autumn/Winter, high street and high end, any recommendations for products for me to give a go?

A Posh Day Out: Chelsea & Kennedy

As it was my daddy's birthday this week and we are both history buffs, I saw that in my InStyle magazine there was a exhibition on in Chelsea of pictures taken by Jacques Lowe of intimate pictures of JFK, his family and his time in offices before his assination.

The pictures themselves were amazing, and the saying is true that a picture speaks a thousand words and how talented Lowe was. The sadness came more from his story than the pictures of Kennedy. Lowe stored his collection of over 40,000 negatives in a safe in JP Morgan at the World Trade Centre. Lowe died In May 2001, five months later 9/11 happened, destroying all the photo's, Lowe's daughter actually debating going down to try and rescue her fathers work. After the attack they found the safe where the negatives had been stored, with the safe perfectly in Tact, however all the contense inside had been burned to ashes due to the heat.
The pictures at the exhibition were all that the Lowe family had left.

After we saw the exhibition we wondered down the Kings Road and towards the Saatchi Gallery for afternoon tea, oh yes we went very posh in Chelsea, which was so lovely and a amazing place to people watch, something I'm secretly a massive fan of doing. Always fun putting stories to people.

Some of the building themselves along the King's Road, are stunning even though they are just stores, I had to take some time for them, along with this amazing perfumery that I saw, as a little girl I was a very keen Ballet dancer and had a massive obsession with Point Ballet shoes, and the window display in this perfumery was just my heaven.

It was such a nice day, and driving back through the centre of London, down the embankment, past parliament square, Big Ben along with taking a little peak down Downing Street. As someone who has lived in London all my life there is so much to do, even the obvious tourist stuff that I haven't done.

Have you had any nice day's out recently, if so or know anywhere let me know!

LOVES: September

My oh my Internet friends is this flying by, i cant keep up with it all. But, never the less i have pulled somethings that i have been enjoying throughout the month of September, it is a really small LOVES this month, but still these is what i have been using, on with the show.

As you can see this is not very beauty related at all, but it is the nicest Febreze I have set my sniffers on in a long time. I can not confirm or deny if it does or does not smell of Himalayan Heights, but to me it smells of fresh linen. It's lovely for a quick room sprirtz, especially when the doggies come back from a walk in the forest and are in the mood for cuddles, smelly cuddles on their part!
I have been super in to my hair this month, and using different products, and this one is a super old one I found sitting at the bottom of my hair draw, It is a Vitamin Protection spray, I am no hair guru by any mean feet but I do know by giving my hair a generous sprays of this before straightening my hair, it just gives it back some shine, health as well as it smelling lovely. I'm not sure if Boots ( where i bought this from) still do this, or even if TONI&GUY still do it as well, but if not I'm sure there are many other products on the market like this, which i am going to have to go hunting for soon as this is quickly running out.
One more hair care product i have been loving and using religiously before hair drying, straightening or curling, is this L'Oreal Paris Studio Silk & Gloss, heat protecting, again it smells good and so I am a sucker for that, but its so nourishing on the hair, and like it says on the bottle leaves a silky and shiny touch, gorgeous. As someone with naturally curly hair the anti-frizz is a big help to tame mine down when i straighten it. Good work L'oreal.
Finally, my only beauty product this week is the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, they don't half have long names do they! Any who, I have been loving this it has good volume without clumping and lengthens really well. It's last long, and has the staying power without running down my face during a spin class, good on ya.

So that was September, not much but just enough for me, hopefully I will have some new fun things to share with you for October and some Halloween related post - spider free though -
