My Must Have Brushes

I think something that any makeup collect has to have, are some brushes whether you have one, or one hundred their uses are endless and can really help change the look of your makeup, along with, i think, making your application of makeup much easier.

I am a bit of a brush junkie, and always find myself looking and brushes, brush kits and all the new stuff that comes on to the market, however i always have my trusty brushes that remain in my makeup bag and that i always find myself using.

                          Real Techniques: Expert Face Brush

For my foundation or tinted moisturizer whatever i fancy on that day, i use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It allows the product to glide on to the skin so easily, and the brush allows the product to bend super nice with the skin, leaving no lines.

                 MAC 109 Blush Brush

This has been my go to bush brush, well since i first started using blush, i bought it in New York with my first blush! It is as good as new and i have had it for a good 5 years now. I think the quality of Mac brushes cant be compared with any others. It blends well and you can control how much product you pick up as well.

MAC 208 Fine Angled Liner Brush

I am not a big winged liner person, mostly because i can never get the two looking remotely the same, but i do like to line my upper lash line, and to sometimes put and very very thin line along my top lashes as well. For this i turn to my littlest best friend the Mac 208, due to the size of it control is easy and to get that really thin line along the top is so easy to achieve.

MAC 219 Pencil Eye Liner Brush

I tend to use this brush on less of a daily basis, if i'm going to wear a brown/gold smokey eye which is my classic go to when i want to up my makeup, i love taking a colour, i usually tend to opt for Patina for this, and just gentley blend this below the lower lash line. Its such a soft and easy to use brush, it allows for just enough  shadow to be put underneath the eye avoided the, you've been punched look!

                 MAC 217 Blending Brush

The cult brush of brushes, what more could you ever want or need (i apologies for how dirty these brushes are, they are well loved and used daily!) It fits the crease of the eye perfectly, and is always brilliant for just dusting some shadow all over the eye as well. I can not speak highly enough about this brush and Mac brushes in general, they clean really well as well.

                 Real Techniques Powder Brush

This is the big brush for me, for powder, bronzer or just blending everything on my face together. You really cant go wrong with it, it is super soft and big. It picks up a nice amount of product and spreads it evenly. And despite the size, it, like my other Real Technique brushes, it is really easy to clean.

Welcome back, Welcome 2014

Sorry I have been AWOL for the last few weeks, as always with the new year everyone is busying themselves trying to get back to a normal schedule, burning off all the sins we ate and drank and along with these and many other things I took a trip, which I wanted to share with you all.

On January 4th 2014,  myself and my boyfriend Darren got up at a ridiculous time and headed off to Heathrow airport to catch our flight to the concrete jungle that is, New York City. We were only out there for four days, and we wished we could of stayed longer, but you've always got to leave something till next time!

It really is an amazing city, not just for all the sights to see, the shopping and the food, but for the people who call themselves New Yorkers! I would say to anyone who's been before, or never been at all GO!! This was my third time visiting and Darren's first and we are hoping to head back again later this year!

I hope you like some of the snaps below!
