CELEB LOOK: Khloe Kardashian

CELEB LOOK

Miss Khloe Kardashian has been all over twitter and Instagram the last few weeks flaunting her luscious locks, and I am a really big fan of one look she has been rocking. Its the half up, half down, high pony with relaxed curls, I know a mouthful.
I just think this look is so easy to do, and goes with anything and can be dressed up or down, give it a go! I like to style my look with some bows  or just wear it simple like Khloe.

I have to say a real quick sorry for the lack of posts and twitter where-abouts this week, this week has been majorly up and down and to add to my frustration every time i tried to post this it would never work. Fingers are crossed  for the two hundredth time lucky!
I will back on full form next week, promise, in the mean time if your a big fan of Greys Anatomy which started Thursday night check out my review of it on http://www.girls-talk-tv.com/
be warned big SPOILERS.

Inside My Makeup Draw: Everyday

MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP DRAW

In and amongst the madness of my desk, is my favourite draw, my everyday makeup draw. I still have my makeup bag which also has products I use frequently but this is my go to draw for most used, loved and re-purchased products.

I have a number of different products, these are my most used blushes, highlighters and bronzers.
Mac Comfort, Soap and Glory Bronzer (the lid has fallen off so cant remember the name exactly, its been well loved) Mac Mocha, Mac Rhapsody In Two, Underneath is a Benefit Blush in DandyLion and Bobbi Brown Cream Blush in Pale Pink 11.

Then we have my most loved area of all, my most used eye shadows, mostly Mac. But I can not go without my Estee Lauder Pallet in Raisins.
I have my quad Mac Pallet where I use Patina most days, or a light dusting of Quarry. The Other colours you can see are Cork, Cranberry and Knight Divine.
As well as my Mac Mineralised Concealer in NW20.

I don't tend to use lip products everyday, hence the lack of them, maybe i'll have to start incorporating more in to my everyday looks!

Do you have a draw, or a place like this, or even whats in your makeup bag?

Selfridges Autumn Beauty Event: REVIEW

Last night i headed up to the Big Smoke to check out Selfridges Autumn Beauty Event.
As always it is a fun night out, with lots of different things buzzing around. I have to say I was a bit let down that there was more free food and drink going than there was free make up experiences like there was during the Summer event.

Never the less, as the beauty junkie I am, I headed over to the Mac counter, paid my redeemable £20 for my 30 minute makeup session, to create whatever look I wanted.
I asked my makeup artist, Fabio, to create a look for me around one colour eyeshadow that I had been eyeing up, Cranberry, and he did the most amazing job, I loved the look and the other colours and products they use.

I have pictures and details of all the products I picked up last night later on in this post, if you fancy taking a peak at them as well.
I headed over to some of the less known makeup brands to see if I could find any hidden gems in there, and stumbled upon Ellis Faas, who were doing come and try a Red Lip, something I have actually always stayed clear of, however I was braved and jumped right in, I had the Milky Lips in L201, I felt very 50's with my Red Lip, not something I'm brave enough to wear on a regular basis but glad a gave it a go! The Girls and Ellis Faas were so lovely and friendly, would highly recommend paying them a visit and trying out some of their stuff.

As much as I was a bit disappointed by the makeup side of things, I am still a lover of food, with free pic 'n' mix, drinks, candy floss and snow cones, the evening was still a good laugh, with photos from the photo-booth to remember it by. I would seriously recommend going to one of Selfridges events they are always a good fun night out!

PRODUCTS

MAC Cranberry Eyeshdaow

MAC Constructivist Paint Point

MAC 219 Brush

MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW20.

Cant wait to give this all a test run, did you go to the Autumn Beauty Event, if you did, what did you get and did you have a fun time?!

Monday Mornings: Back to School

I am no longer in School, however I do go to Uni so i know what it's like to see that monday morning drawing closer, with folders and new pens all over your room, and if you are at all like me, a new bag for a new school year. I loved school and always looked forward to getting back and learning knew stuff and trying to improve every year, it is what you make it!

Here is my quick and easy back to school kit!

I found that having my work for different subjects divided made coming back to finding notes and revising a lot easier, I picked up these folders and note pads (with dividers, very handy) from WH Smith, which are having 70% off of their selected back to school lines.
I also got a new pencil case, which I can then sort the pens I want to take in with me and what I think i will need. It also has a handy zip pocket at the front where I can store my memory sticks and SD cards for work I'm doing on the computer, you can also pick these items up from WH Smith or somewhere like PC World. So much work is done on the computer its good to have a memory stick to move it around with from home to school and vice versa.
I would also recommend picking up some different coloured pens to have at school and at home, to help sort what your writing down in class and that way if things are in certain colours you can pluck them right off the page, knowing these are key factors that you have learnt. I like to mix up thin coloured pens, felt tips and high lighters, you can never have enough!
You cant not start a new year without a new bag, can you not?! This is from Zara in the sale a few months ago, it fits everything in easily and has a zip pocket inside for other lady things I may need to store while I am at school, college or uni.
Always have a set of headphones with you, when working in the library I always found it useful to have a pair so I could plug them in and listen to the radio while I worked if i did not have my Ipod with me, makes the time go a lot quicker
My other must have was Mascara, for a general top up during the day, help me look more awake and for after P.E, along with a quick sweep across my face of a Matt bronzer to help dull the shine and change the colour of my face from red and puffy to shine-less and lightly bronzed.

Good luck to all of you starting back at school, or whatever you are doing this September, work hard and you will achieve what you want, and remember Christmas soon, that should get you through the next couple of months! :)

Autumn's Must Event: Selfridges

This thursday I am super excited to be attending the Selfridges Autumn Beauty Event, they are running throughout all the Selfridges stores in the UK on various dates.

I went to the summer Beauty Event and had such a good time, so I cant wait to see what is in store this time round, and what new products I can get my mitts on!
Excitingly, the Elle Beauty Editors will also be there so I'm hoping I cant steal a moment of their time to have a natter about their most loved products and what its like to be in the Beauty magazine world.
Let me know if your going on Thursday night, or to any other of the events running through September with Selfridges.

Enjoy your Sunday!

August's Most Loved

Hello, and welcome to September, (super scary how quickly this year is going) which only can mean one thing, August's Most Loved.

I mentioned this product in my last blog I think, it is just a hair serum. Makes my hair super soft and gives it some ummph.

A cult classic that I have over the month of August been loving, at its Benefits Bad Gal Lash. For me it gives the perfect looking lashes, however I do sometimes struggle with the size of the brush, it is a big one.
Ren Skin care is always raved about in the beauty-bloggers sphere, and as my skin was a little lacking in moisture from my time in the sunshine, this has been sorting it out. Its lovely creamy texture is delicious and just melts in to the skin.
These are my new babies, the Dizzy by KG Kurt Geiger. I had been eyeing them up all through July and decided to buy them, and I'm so happy I did, they are such a gorgeous classic shoe that can be worn with any outfit for any occasion. LOVE.
Vanilla scented Candle, Ikea. The sweetest smell, its been my go to, to light just before bed to relax and chill.

French Plaits, Such a quick and easy style to wear, again, for any occasion, and once you got the hang of how to do them your set.
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer, I treasure this stuff like it is gold dust, it is the most beautiful bronzer I have ever owned, it glides on to the skin like silk, the colour is not too orange, and sits beautifully on the skin. I switch it up with this either for a little bit of contouring or over all bronze when looking a bit pasty, but using it sparingly due to the very silly price tag on them.
