Foundation Fantastic

Happy Easter,
I hope you are all having a wonderful sunday<3

I thought i would do a quick sneak peak into the foundations i have and swap between, admitted i do use BB cream a lot but i did not think that really counted as a foundation! so on with the show!

(from left to right: NARS Sheer Glow, Rimmel Wake Me Up, Mac Face and Body and Bobbie Brown Skin Foundation)

NARS SHEER GLOW: I heard so much about this foundation that i just had to go and treat myself and see what it was all about. I have it in the shade Mont Blanc. Ide say it gives light to medium coverage, but it can be built up. I have to say i think the shade is  smidgen to light for me and i do like to mix it with a creme bronzer i have to give me some colour. (I bought my NARS SHEER GLOW from Space NK for £30)

RIMMEL WAKE ME UP: Tanya Burr (http://www.tanyaburr.co.uk) raves about this foundation and i was in the market for a cheap but good quality foundation and thought ide give it a try, for a while i did not like it but more recently i have really enjoyed using it. It gives a lovely duey finish and is light and fresh on the skin, i have it in the shade Ivory 100.
(Purchased from Superdrug while it was on offer for around £6 i think!)

MAC FACE AND BODY: This was my first high end foundation i ever got and i loved it to bits. Its water based so is lovely and light on the skin and is so easy to apply, however it is a light coverage. I dont tend to use it to much now but its good for covering blemishes on the body if im going out and theres a bruise on my leg or some redness on my arms, you get the jist! (I bought my MAC FACE AND BODY a while ago and i think it was £25 then....and now it is £26.50 for the 120ml which is the one i have in shade C1)

BOBBIE BROWN SKIN FOUNDATION: I bought this kind of on a peer pressure whim by the lady at the Bobbie Brown counter, it looked nice on when at the counter but i just could not for the life of me get on with it for months it would always look cakey and patchy and just not cool or good whatsoever, so it sat in my draw, me reluctant to get rid of something i paid quite a heafty amount for, and then today  on a whim i decided ide give it another go i found it okay if i patted it on with a makeup sponge and the rubbed into my skin with my fingers! i guess somethings you just got to keep at!!
(I believe this was around the £30 mark as well! and i have it in shade 02 Sand)

Forever 21: The Ear Jazz

I was going to title this post as 'the ear bling', but i just could not pull that off! haha
I recently popped into Forever 21 in the Westfield in Stratford. I always get drawn in by their earing section, and get a bit carried away, most of the time being daring and buying earings i most likely wont ware, but love the look of!

Luckily this time round i have a few occasions coming up that are earing worthy! hope you like my finds!

(they are all between £2.50-£4.75. I love them all but the flower set are a bit faffy, one pair the flower fell off which was a tad annoying, but otherwise not a problem with any of them!

Gel Nails

I am someone who just cant make nail varnish work for me, i love it and i also enjoy painting my nails but it will chip within hours of painting it on.
Despite my best efforts of base coats and top coats and doubling up on the colour it just wont last for me, so i went with a good friend of mine this Wednesday just passed to a local Nail Salon, to have our Gel nails done!

I love getting them done and its such a fun girlie trip out as well there's nothing you can fault with it.  There were so many colours and glitters to choose from, but i pick a super dark blue, almost black (which is quite daring for me!) with a glitter over the top and i'm loving it, they cost me £20 ( i got student discount, normally £25 which is not bad at all!) and they last between 3-4 depending on nail growth and if you don't pick them off when they start to grow out and lift. It is essentially a thick nail varnish that goes over the top of your natural nail and is set under UV light!

let me know if you get bios or Shellac nails done!
