A Summer Wedding

Recently I had a lovely summer wedding to attend. Although, not intentionally myself and Darren ended up matching colours. He wore a grey suit  and slim fit white shirt from Zara, and a pink tie from Next, and I wore a grey dress from ASOS which you can get here and it is on sale from £55 to £27! and shoes from Zara, however these a bought a good three years ago!

I deiced to have my hair up as the thought of of having hair down on a hot day like that was just too much to deal with, is there anything worse than feeling like your hair is suffocating you?! A friend from school came to mine and I just showed her a picture of a hair-up look that I found on a Instagram page, and she did it there and then for me! check out here Instagram below here for all her work! @hairbydaniellax

For makeup I did my own, and I use Mac Face and Body in N2, Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzing powder in LIGHT Shimmer, for under my eyes I used Benefit Erase Paste in No.1 Fair, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara in 01 black, Benefit Dandelion Blush, and Mac Woodwink and Shroom on my lids.

KISS True Volume Lashes: The Review

I know that when it comes to strip fake lashes I am fighting a never ending battle, and normally just settle for individuals. However, KISS True Volume Lashes, available in Boots, have an amazing natural tapered edge and they are super easy to apply.

They are made of a light weight material and all have a effortless style. The stylish, comfortable blend of KISS ‘True Volume’ lashes are made from 100% human hair creating a more natural appearance. Lightweight and softer than most lashes KISS ‘True Volume’ have a natural curve achieving a quicker application and comfortable effect for the eye. The adhesive lashes are durable and longer lasting making them perfect for the summer heatwave. Natural in appearance and feeling, these will be your new best friend!

I prefer a more natural look and for that I would recommend the 'Chic' lash, however they do come in two other styles which are a fuller style, 'Posh' and 'Ritzy'.
You can pick them up from Boots for only £4.99, bargain!

Your New Perfume

Need a new perfume? This is the one. Ghost Moonlight Eau de Toilett, I have to admit im not good at describing smells but take my word that it smells pretty darn great. It is fresh and light, and the perfect scent for spring time. I got this as a Christmas present, and it is almost out. Superdrug do this as a gift set for around £25 which is always a great buy or you can get it as a 30ml bottle or  you can get a bigger bottle as well. Superdrug have it online as 30ml and 50ml bottles, for £24 and £33.

The Best Budget Brushes

Brushes are something that you need to have if you enjoy playing around with make up, just starting to feel your way in to makeup, or if your just a bit of a clean freak and don't like using your fingers.
Brushes can cost you a fair amount, some brushes at MAC start at £30, which although they are good is ridiculous. Everyone knows and loves the Real Technique Brushes, and I own quite a few of them and cant fault them, however even those, for high street brushes are will still set you back around £8-£10 per brush.

Not too long ago i was watching one of Gabby, from Velvet Ghost's videos where she was speaking about where she got her brushes from Ebay, so i thought i would have a look. These brushes are incredibly good, they do different sets, different colours, from 4 piece sets such as the duo fiber brushes which was £3 including postage and packaging, and then i also got myself a 15 piece, yes 15 i said, for £11 including P&P again.

They are so good, i have not tried all of them yet but the ones i have i can not fault, they are soft, apply and blend all products well whether they be cream, liquid or powder formula. They do not shed their bristles either (Wooho!). I am yet to wash them, but i'm sure they will do just fine with that as well.

As they are shipped from China they did take a while to come, around two and half weeks, not terrible considering your not paying for postage, the reason of this is because they do not attach any tracking information. But i can confirm they do arrive, packaged nicely.

You can grab the sets i bought and loads of others here and check out Gabby's channel here!

A Treat Worth Trying: YSL

YSL ROUGE VOLUPTE SHINE

There is nothing nice than a treating yourself to lovely bit of high-end makeup. When it comes in gold shiny packaging and has YSL written across the front of it, i think we can all say we are very much happy bunnies.

The quality of these lipsticks are second to none, they go on sheer but you still get that hint of colour that is in the bullet and they can be built up to a more strong intense colour. The texture is beautiful smooth, moisturising and just sits effortlessly on the lips.

With all high end products, with such great quality comes a not so great price tag, i bought this one in duty free so the price varies abit from stores which would stock YSL, however they are around £23-£26 depending where you are buying yours from. It is not the sort of product we can all go out a buy 6 of in different shades and so on, but it is a good feeling when you've worked hard, saved up and go and treat yourselves, and these are a treat i would certainty recommend.

have a look and grab them here and here!

A Ski Adventure

So, not too long ago myself, mummy and brother had a Ski trip sprung on us. The queen of competitions (Madre), entered one to win a ski holiday and low and behold, she did!

We won 7 nights to Salzburg, Austria. I had only skied dry slopes before, so snow was a whole new kettle of fish, although a few days in Austria was hit with a snow crisis as it all started to melt, note the rolling green hills in place of snow capped mountains.

However that didn't stop us and  I enjoyed myself so much, and would say it is something that everything should try and do at least once in their lives, instead of rambling I've opted to share some pictures instead.

Enjoy :)

The Best Low Cost Mascara

Not so long ago i was a little bit down on cash and a lot down on mascara. Mascara is my must have product, although i wasn't in the market to be spending a fair amount of money on a high cost one, i just needed a cheap one to tie me over and keep my lashes long and thick for the time being.

I have heard good things about Collections concealer, as i'm sure every beauty blogger has, but this mascara was on offer for a cant pass up £3, and i thought the wand look interesting, and i am a fan of big fat wands. I have to say it can be a bit of a bugger to get off but it last all day, no fall down nor flaking and it gives such amazing length and you can build up the thickness of it as well.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to achieve lashes that are like those in the images above, however if you are not a big fan of big fat wands, i would maybe try something different. its big!
