Summer Hair Look Book

Hello to everyone, this Friday I am setting of to France with the family for a 2 week break in the sun, I'm not sure if I'm going to post, so I thought just in case I decided not to I'll finish of the summer season with a bang.

If you are in London, or the UK you'll know the horrid heat we have been given over the last two weeks, and it makes for a hair dilemma. I have gone to the trouble for you lovely lot to find some fun, easy and pretty celebrity inspired hair styles, to have a go at, bobby pins and surf spray at the ready, lets get cracking!

Beach Waves

Long Hair
The classic long wavy perfect beach tousled look, can you go wrong I don't think so! Like shown in the picture, try a adding in a few loose braids, pulled to the back of the head. Get yourself some Surf Spray, I recommend either Bumble and Bumble or Schwarzkopf Beach Matt Surf Spray.

Short Hair
My fave lady, Cheryl showing that short hair can also rock the loose wave beachy look, using a large barrel curling iron, curl the hair in big loose curls, and as always finish with some surf spray, this look can be dressed up or down!

Summer Braid

Ah Miley, why, why change that wonderful hair, I've have always had hair envy of her, its just perfect. Anyway, this is such a gorgeous easy girly look, and so simple to do, some of those little elastic hair bands, bit of back combing and your off, and like with Cheryl's hair, Miley shows how this can be dressed up and how we know it can be a dressed down look as well.

Messy Bun/Up-do

Leighton Meester shows how messy can be oh so glamorous, now I'll be honest not to sure how to go about putting a hair look like this together, but I'm sure with our good friend Youtube, hair spray, backcombing brush and some good old Elnett, your off, I'm thinking of giving this one a go on one summer afternoon, so stunning.

Another messy bun look, something like this I think you could go about the same way you would use a doughnut to get that sleek bun look, just teasing out sections of hair, and pinning in the right places will create this look easily, top it off with a bra-strap headband, and a spray of Elnett and your good to go!

Pony Tail

She is back, I was always in love with this look as soon as the 'Call My Name' video debuted, which you can see Here, along with the other looks in the video. Cheryl rocks this mid-high pony on the back of her head with some hardcore bangs going on.

I think we can say Lauren Conrad is basically queen of the summer hair looks, every look she has down to a T. Another high pony with structured waves, and hair twisted in at the root of the pony to add that little touch of detail. This can be done by taking a piece of hair and wrapping it round the top of the pony tail, where the hair band is and then pinning underneath. Sorted!

All products recommend are below, I'm looking forward to giving all these looks ago, how about you?

Pre-Summer Holiday Hauling

So I am off on holiday next week, and over the last month I have been slowly picking stuff up for summer and for my holiday, some admittedly were not very needed, but I think what the hell, if you cant spend the money you work for, then what can you do?!
I saw this Topshop skirt on a good family friend of mine at her 2st birthday and fell in love with it.
It is £48 but I get student discount so it worked out a little cheaper. I think its such a great skirt for summer, and you can wear so many different top pieces with it.

This Hand necklace was on sale in Accessorize, for £5. I think the colours in it are gorgeous and it is such a nice piece of jewellery to add to a simple outfit in the summer.

I am a eye makeup girl through and through, so even on holiday I have to have a black eyeliner with me to do my top lash line, and I thought I would give Topshop make up a go as I only have one of their eyeshadows, and I have to say not massively sold by it. This is the Waterproof Khol Eyeliner, in Black for £5.
I got some Makeup wipes just for days in the sun when you've been in the sun or on the beach and just want to clean your face a bit, and these were a bargin in Waitrose for by one get one free.
This is my new Bikini, love as some one with decently sized boobs, for bikinis I have to have the underwired, and Victoria Secret was my go to place, I got this top, which comes with attachable straps, for £30, I know bit pricey but they are so long lasting, I'm debating getting the bottoms as we speak, but because of all the colours you can mix and match bottoms with it as well.
I got these shorts on sale in Hollister for £20 I love shorts in the summer, so when i saw these it was just yes! If you like this kind of thing or the Hollister/Abercrombie look, go check it out there is a sale on!
I needed flip-flops I had sandals but flip flops yes, but you cant get better than a trust pair of Havainas, I got the slim fit in Navy for £22. They are super comfy as well I have been practically wearing them every day.
This bag is from Zara, its the holiday bag along with the year two of uni bag, this was also on sale for £17, bargin! And I love it super spacious and yep, love it!
Another Topshop item this is their basic Skater dress in Navy, i have wanted a skater dress for yonks so when I saw this for £20, I had to have it super comfy and love the colour.
And of course cant be having summer without Sun cream and After sun. I'm quite pale so I need a nice variety of sun cream, to see me through I go from factor 50 to factor 10, and if I'm not beaching it but will still be out I will use the Piz Buin 1 day long. 10/10 for Piz Buin, love there stuff

And finally as I mentioned before I am an eyes girl, so I picked up a nice fresh mascara to take away with me. Maybelline's Mega Plush Masacra for £4.99 at Superdrug.

What are you Holiday Haul's?

June's Loves

Sorry I'm running a bit behind with post's, I've been fortunate enough to be interning at MSN international helping out with their up and coming beauty awards. So i have been working my little tush off with that, but still I'm back for a quick post of what i have been loving through the month of June.
We have been getting some heat down in London over the last few weeks, mostly humid heat, but the odd day the sun shines through, so I've been rocking sandals of my flip-flops pretty much every day. The two pairs of sandals are from Primark, and they were £4 each i think, and the flip flops are the Slim fit Havainas, which were £22.
For nails in June, the classic Essie 'Mint Candy Apple' has been my go to, its just one of the nicest colour. The applicator is great, it goes on well and for me two coats is perfect as well as it last super long on my nails. Two thumbs up for Essie!
This is a odd one, but I've been suffering really bad with hay-fever this month and the only thing that has managed to keep it under to control is Piriton. It is medicine so with all make sure you are responsible and careful when your taken it and read the directions and instructions. But its been so great for helping me with symptoms.
If you read one of my recent post about the XXL Live Colour event, you will know that the lovely people at HD Brows gave me some of the products to try out, I've been loving their brow beater, its not heavy on the brows and keeps everything set the way you want it. I cant knock this at all, and will not be looking anywhere else for brow products anytime soon!
Ah, I have the lovely Zoella to thank for this, after watching her 'Everyday Makeup Video' I had to go and get the Estee Lauder 'Raisin's' Pallet. I've never been so happy with a purchase in my life, this is just so beautiful, colour wise, packaging, everything. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
I can rave about this for hours, I have been wearing the combo lightly everyday and then intensify it for nights out.
This has been my everyday face combo for pretty much the whole of June, i find the BB cream gives me a gorgeous light base, and Rimmel's Wake Me Up, just give it that lovely finished look.
Cheap and Cheerful as well, and its really long lasting as well! Tried and tested by the London Underground!
And finally, my most loved of June, has to be my new gorgeous room decorated by my Boyfriend, you can check out all his work here (www.homesenhanced.co.uk).
I think it looks beautiful, I'm thinking of doing a whole post on it, including the process of it and all paint colours, wallpaper info as well as a mini new bedroom haul!

How was your June? and what have you been loving?
